I want between 3-4 inches coverage. How many tubs would I need please** A: Hi, l have a Jewel Rio 125 aquarium which is 81cm x 36cm x 50cm (approx 36 x 14 x 19 inches). I bought 2 tubs of tetra substrate 10kg but only used one. I covered the bottom of my tank with this about 2 inches deep and then laid finer sand on top as l thought the substrate would be a little too course for my Cory's. I needed a base layer as l have live plants. If you are going to use just this then maybe you will need 2 tubs. I hope this answers your question. **Q: What colour would you describe the substrate as please … thank you** A: It is dark. **Q: Is this product shrimp safe i.e. doesn't contain copper as a trace nutrient?** A: I'm not sure if it contains copper but I use it and also have shrimp and they seem fine.
