    Delightfully diverse!

I thoroughly enjoyed each of these wildly different tales! Although I bought the book because I'm a fan of Sarah Stegall's writing, the other authors contributed excellent work as well.

    A Travesty Not a Tribute

Michael Ventralla's forward is the highlight of this audiobook which, like it's predecessor, is a sad and sorry reworking of the Holmes genre. You're lucky if you can find 2 decent stories as most of them are woeful (the stories set in outer space are especially execrable). These writers clearly have no knowledge, understanding or 'feel' for the actual Holmes oeuvre and these stories are devoid of the wit, charm and humour that catapulted Holmes into our imaginations, and-- more importantly-- keeps him there. The audiobook performers tried valiantly to lift this leaden material but alas, failed.I usually express thanks and gratitude to writers for perpetuating the Holmes legacy but not this time. We'd all be better off if they stick to whatever they normally write and desecrate no more the Holmes legend. (Besides, that job is already taken by Hollywood.)My recommendation: Do not LISTEN to it and do not BUY it or you'll be an accessory to a crime against literature. It's not ever a decent effort or nice try.

    Not too bad

This book presents series of stories written in the style of Sherlock Holmes, as with all anthologies, some are really good, some okay and one I really did not enjoy. Some had a good mystery, some were just clever and others a bit predictable. A really mixed bag but most reader should enjoy a goo chunk of this book
