I like that it is not spicy - which is great when cooking for those who do not like spicy curry. I add this to coconut milk with fresh ginger, chilli and galengal and it makes a Rendang which tastes nearly exactly like the stuff you get in Malaysia and Indonesia. Good value in this three pack too.

I love this curry powder and use it a lot as a base for Rendang and Malaysian stew. I like that it is not spicy - which is great when cooking for those who do not like spicy curry. This stuff is amazing. Lightly fry the powder in a little oil to develop the spices. Add hot water (or stock) gradually, stirring vigorously to eliminate any lumps (it thickens itself) until the consistency you want. You get something like the perfect spicy Chinese restaurant curry sauce. Pour it over what you like (e.g. fried chicken onion and peas), leave to stand a few minutes. Perfect!
