I thought these would be the end-all of travel pants now that I'm just using carry-ons no matter how long a trip--but--no. (Got burned once with my bags in the US while I was in Switzerland for 5 days with nothing; therefore, I had to buy another suitcase and an entire new wardrobe. Came home with 3 checked suitcases -- never again!) The front pockets are open slants, so they stick out and gap, looking very odd. I'm normal sized, not hip-y at all, and these just look weird. There is also very little chance I could wear these as I wished: covering flights, hikes, touring and dressing up for say a nice restaurant in France. They look like a casual sporty hiking pant. Definitely order one size up though, they do run about half size/one full size smaller than regular pants. I hiked two full days and these pants lasted really well through brushes, a few clumsy falls and some wetness. They also dry pretty quickly and look somewhat fashionable (c'mon, we still want to look good while we hike :)) ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not a good trail pant *by C***E on Reviewed in the United States on September 11, 2015* My main disappointment with this pant is how poorly it performs in high grass or brush--thorns easily penetrate the fabric (ouch!) and they also act like a magnet for attracting dry grass, which stick horribly to the polyester and are hard to remove. The fabric also pills.
