It was the best choice I made. I was upgrading to a full bed from a twin, and wanted to get am inexpensive bed that is sturdy and easy to assemble by myself.I came across several fordable beds from different brands. The most popular band selling were Zinus for $87 and Amazon for $69. I was trying to chooses either one and reading +100 reviews ... Many mentioned in both products that the middle legs don't touch when assembled. Some mentioned the bed collapsed in the middle. So I kept moving on to the next page and reading the reviews until when this product (Mantua Premium Platform Bed) popped up on the side panel. I clicked on it, and saw the impressive star rating (5 & 4 stars only). Yes, the price was $95 and slightly more expensive. But just $7-16 difference from those prominent brands' beds.I gave it a try and am so glad it did. The bed came earlier than expected. Well packaged. The overall weigh wasn't too heavy so I carried it myself with a dolly. Once unpacked, it was SO easily assembled in 7 minutes. The way it is constructed secures the mid (junction) portion from collapsing and requires no tools. The legs are even, of course. It is sturdy and yet light enough to move around.When a 12-inch massive gel memory foam mattress arrived, it held the mattress well without squeaking. I hopped onto the bed and did a bit of tossing and turning, and it made absolutely no noise. No sag in the middle. I am so so happy.Since I tend to relocate a lot, I kept a twin bed for an easy move but I can officially get rid of my twin bed because this forldable bed is going to move with me from now on. I was done in 10 min with it.Ever since I have no complaints whatsoever. It is sturdy, fits perfectly with my mattress, it doesn't squeak or move. It just sits there, underneath my mattress.Other plusses:- Compared to other solutions I think this is really good value for your money.- The position of the legs gives you plenty of room to stow away things under your bed.- The platform folds, just like a guest bed or stretcher, and it splits up in two pieces which are very reliably connected when you set it up. This allows you to stow it away in case you need more room, and, of course, to transport it easily in case you need to move.- The grid is quite narrow so that there is no risk for your mattress to lag through between two of the bars.I can wholeheartedly recommend this platform. The top and the bottom have space so it does not butt up against the headboard. The side legs at the top and the bottom are inset, they stay away from the side brails of your bed if you have rails. My bed had metal rails so I had to cut little notches out of them for the center legs due to they are set out more than the other 4 legs. It is a full size but it comes in 2 sections like a king so it is easier to handle. I'm thinking if you have wooden decorative side rails that are not metal it should slide down and there's much simpler.
