I use it to hold a remote control on my belt and I’m constantly pulling it forward to use and I’ve never had a problem. First set I bought claimed to be stainless steel, but the cables were strong twine and broke after several uses. These do have very good tension on them for retractability, which is good and bad given I pull it forward for use and it actually is slightly tiring given the strength, but I have no problem using.
