As a simple guide - measure your old cane, if you had one. When standing naturally (wearing shoes), the handle should sit around wrist level with your arm relaxed at your side. Or ask your therapist. **Q: Is a wooden cane as strong as a metal one? How much weight can they support?** A: Yes, and often even more reliable. Asterom canes are crafted from solid hardwood and reinforced with a steel bolt. They are tested to support up to 400 lbs (180 kg), providing rock-solid stability without the "rattling" sound of hollow metal tubes. **Q: Is the handle comfortable for daily use?** A: Absolutely. Our patented handles are hand-carved to follow the natural contours of the human palm. Unlike thin plastic grips, our wide wooden handles distribute pressure evenly, reducing strain on your wrist and finger joints during long walks. **Q: Is this cane compatible with a wide (quad, large) cane tip? What about spare cane tips?** A: Yes, you can replace the standard tip with any other with an inner diameter of 7/8", including a wide tip or quad tips. A free spare standard tip is included in the box. Asterom Canes also sells spare wide, standard cane tips and wrist straps. **Q: Where are Asterom Canes made? Can I trust this brand?** A: Canes are handcrafted in a family workshop in Ukraine and sold exclusively by Asterom LLC, Florida. With 10,000+ positive reviews and 150,000+ canes sold since 2016, Asterom is a brand people choose for quality, craftsmanship, and reliable support. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The PERFECT cane, period! *by on Reviewed in the United States September 6, 2025* Had a little accident and broke several bones in my left foot. According to the doc, a cane will be a good idea even after the bones heal. So I decided if I'm gonna be on the gimpy side, I'm at least going to do it with style. Though the price of this cane was considerably higher than most, I can now attest that -- da-yum -- it was SO worth it!The craftsmanship is evident from the moment you take the cane from the carefully-packed box. In a word, it is beautiful! It feels super-solid in the hand and the weight, while not exactly "heavy," is definitely substantial; it inspires confidence. Also, I'm not a violent guy, but this thing would work about as well as a baseball bat with regard to self-defense. It's that formidable. The handle is meticulously crafted and fits my hand like I was born with it there. The finish is impeccable and the brass band is a thing of beauty. Seriously, everything about this cane just screams quality and brilliant design.I bought a slightly longer one than I thought I might need and cut it down to size (removing about an inch) with a miter box saw. The rubber foot was a tiny bit difficult to remove, but that has to be the case in order to keep it in place during heavy usage. It's also nice that they sent along a second rubber foot and a wrist strap, though I'm not using that at the moment.I got the deep cherry red finish on mine and it looks GREAT. I've been using mine for the past week or two and can attest that it works about as well as one could hope for. It feels like a natural extension of my arm and provides all the support I'll (hopefully) ever need. If you're looking for the best cane for any money, look no further. You're not going to find anything better. This thing is essentially perfect, and that's not a word I use often. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A wonderful feel, sturdy too, the best money can buy *by on Reviewed in the United States September 17, 2026* This is my second Asterom cane, I lost the first one. It happens to old men. Absent minded you know? Anyway it was meant to be. I like this one with the Ergonomic hand grip better. Much better. It might not be as elegant looking, but neither am I. There are some things they don't tell you in the propaganda about these things. They are prone to getting scratched up and stuff. After awhile the handle gets kind of funky from your sweaty hand. If you wash it off, the finish comes off too, water soluble. The handle screws on to the dowel stick easily, that is the good news. The bad news it is unscrews easily too. So plan on retightening it frequently just to be safe. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of. If any of this makes you unsure that these are the best option, go to your local full service pharmacy and take a quick grip on one of those aluminum jobbies. Or trust me a get one of these. Much better. You wont regret it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great look, feel and support! *by on Reviewed in the United States September 7, 2026* Just received this last night, but the finish, look, and feel are incredibly beautiful! Feels very solid and so far, it really feels like it is making a big difference for walking. I’m very pleased with it so far! ## Frequently Bought Together - Asterom Walking Cane for Men & Women - Handmade, Ergonomic, Wooden Canes - Cool Walking Sticks for Seniors, FSA/HSA Eligible - Asterom Cane Tips 7/8 Inch - Compatible with Asterom Wooden Canes - Heavy Duty, Wide Base, All Terrain - Rubber Cane Tips, Replacement Cane Tip (Pack of 2) - Asterom Handmade Leather Cane Strap - Stylish Wrist Strap for Canes and Walking Sticks --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/616782829-handcrafted-canes-for-men-ergonomic-wooden-walking-cane-oak-wood](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/616782829-handcrafted-canes-for-men-ergonomic-wooden-walking-cane-oak-wood) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
