It may just a blown fuse, but a blown fuse usually indicates an underlying issue. I would skip getting a vornado tower fan. Doesn't seem to have the same standards of quality.

Use it as an air circulator, not as a fan unless you're right up next to it. It's about appropriately sized and powerful for a small to medium room.
