Top off with a better paste wax and it should come out fine . Using the heavy-duty compound I find is to gritty and u half to go over it with the finesse anyways . They cancelled my order after 2 attempts. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 3m Finnesse-it Marine paste gallon *by T***Y on November 20, 2013* 3m 06039 is great to renew faded and chaulked gelcoat. It quickly cuts thru the oxidation and leaves the gelcoat shiny and ready for a polish or finish wax. I use a wool pad on a 1500 rpm buffer to apply this product and it doesn't dry out too quickly. The white color washes off easily with minimal rubbin in case splatters need to be removed. I would not use this product on clearcoat paints as it is too aggresive and even on enamel paints, care should be exercised due to this product being aggresive. The only issue I had with this problem is having to order it 3 times as the product popped open in transit twice.
