## Overview

Corsican Mint (Mentha requienii) is a hardy, organic herb seed variety sold as 50 pelleted seeds by JustSeed UK. Known for its tiny trailing foliage and quick germination in 5-7 days, it thrives in containers or as ground cover in cracks and edges, tolerating temperatures down to -5°C. Ideal for gardeners seeking a natural, aromatic ground cover that also serves culinary uses like Creme de Menthe.

## Description

Corsican mint has an unusual trailing habit and very small foliage. Ideal for growing in containers or as ground cover through cracks in paving. Used for making the drink Creme de Menthe. Quick to germinate in 5-7 days. Hardy down to -5C. Sold as multi-pellets. Sow each multiseeded pellet into individual pots or cell trays in a soil-less seed compost. Lightly cover the seeds with a thin layer of vermiculite or sieved compost and place at a temperature of 20°C. Transplant small plants into pots when large enough and grow on until ready to transplant into containers outside.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: how much corsican mint does 50 pellets grow?**
A: Very little, but once it starts growing you can separate clumps and plant them in more places to achieve a wider spread at a more rapid pace. It spreads really well once it takes. Well worth growing these, I'm really happy with mine.

**Q: What is a pelleted seed?**
A: a small seed coated for easier handling and spacing.

**Q: Can you plant the seeds directly into the garden or do you have to use a seed tray?**
A: They come as small plug plants and you are advised to plant them into separate pots and allow development before transplanting to garden area. I did this and so far all seems to be going well.
