Mine are not, so how do I know if they're what they are supposed to be, not expired and the right stuff?** A: Foil on blister pack has Dr. Ohhiras name and company. Mfg. date and expiration date on box. The boxes I get are not sealed (taped).Product of Japan. Other countries do not seal boxes. The US didn't either, until the Tylenol poisonings, years ago. Terrific product. **Q: When is the expiration date on the products you are selling now?** A: no expiration date **Q: Why, on Earth, would they add caramel color to the capsule??? People are trying to be healthy and they are adding a known carcinogen to the product.** A: It does say that caramel color has been added. Carrageenan as well. Too bad they're using these low quality capsules. The rest of the ingredients seem legit. **Q: What is the quantity of live bacteria ?** A: I think it's 12 billion but I know this stuff really works. I've been using it successfully for years. It's great because you can store it at room temperature. Also, if you chew it, it works great for acid reflux. I decided to try this product. I all ready take Dr. Ohhira's vitamin E and it is fine, but not remarkable. I have no cilia in my inner ears and rely on my eye sight for balance. I only have sight in one eye, so at night I will fall on uneven surfaces. When I walk the dog at night I was using the sidewalk and driveway in my yard and not going further. Where the drive way connects to the street is uneven. The day after starting the pills, I walked out onto the street without any problems. It was pitch black. I had a flashlight. I was much steadier on my feet than normal . I will be 90 this summer. Avoiding falls is very important to me. I have seen other changes since starting the pills. I sleep very soundly.
