I will buy another for my second pit in a month if this Wayne holds up well. Heres my problem with this unit, the metal rod holding the float looks flimsy, as other reviewers have stated, also the Wayne manual suggests changing the float switch every 2 years, never had to do this with my other standard sump pumps. Vertical swithch in this unit is great, but I have a feeling I'll be changing the float and the switch within 5 years at most. Instructions on the internet how to do this are available, the float is 35 bucks on desertcart, the switch is 20. So not a big deal, I ordered this unit knowing all this from the reviews. I helped myself by capping both of my drains in basement and crawl space, as all went into the yard inside the ground, every flood water came rushing into my house because of this, now water comes in during a flood still but much slower, so 2 sump pumps are for my piece of mind in case we get a major flood like last year, 18 inches of water in my basement, 1200 dollars to repair my furnace, lucky my hot water tank survived, its an 80 gallon beast for my jetted spa bathtub. So investing in Wayne to prevent this damage next major flood, lived in my house 20 years and last years flood was the worst of my 56 years on this planet, scared me straight, so more power now, hate floods but curious if we get another major flood how this pump will keep up running for 3 hours straight as my other ones had to, that will be the true test.
