No chemical smells2. The tile squares are really big3. The colors are bright and attractive to baby4. Your baby will love scratching on the foam with her fingers.However what doesn't work:1. If you live in a small apartment and have cramped hall like mine, this piece can take up sizeable space.2. Every time you need to clean the floor, you'll have to disassemble the individual pieces which can be quite a chore.3. If your baby has pearly whites sprouting from gums then she willl want to nibble on the detachable foam pieces4. It dents very easily. I’m constantly trying to locate the borders, wheels, propellers, and windows that he chews and then leaves strewn about the house. I gave up putting the border back on but if I don’t replace the cars, planes, etc when he pulls them out then he trips on the mat. My kid is starting to have an allergy issue with it and they were for his room.
