Review: Perfect replacement - A few weeks on and I've been delighted with this battery. A computer repair shop wanted to charge me £90 (plus labour costs) for a new one, so I was delighted to pick this up for the price. Perfect fit for my mid-2012 13" Macbook Pro. Difficult to comment at this point on the life-span of the battery, but I've definitely noticed an improvement in battery life compared to the old one. I read here (or elsewhere) about the computer reporting inaccurate battery life, and that's likely because they didn't calibrate their new battery. You need to charge it right the way up and leave it for a couple of hours, then unplug and discharge until the computer shuts down (amend your power-saving settings to do this). Finally charge it right the way up again. A quick search will give you more detailed instructions than I have here. All in all, can't fault it. Really pleased.

It has about 3 hours on it till it dies which is fantastic considering my previous battery. For it's price its great. Got this as my previous battery had become so bad that I couldn't use my laptop without it being plugged in all the time. This helped it loads. It has about 3 hours on it till it dies which is fantastic considering my previous battery. For it's price its great. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Clone Battery

The Macs of this era have a fault where the battery starts to bulge with age and presses on the underside of the trackpad, and the trackpad gets worse and worse until eventually you can't click it at all. Luckily the battery is quite easy to replace: you take a few screws off to detach the bottom panel, then a couple more screws on the battery, and prise the connector out. Within a few minutes you have the new battery in place. This kit comes the screwdriver you need, and it's all very straightforward.
