高原さんのご本、二冊目購入です。てまりではなく、指貫目当てなのですが、一冊目同様、てまりが主役の本なので、指貫は少ないです。ただ、写真は多くて種類が少ないというものではないのですが、作り方は後半の白黒ページにまとめられていて、その製図が私には難解で。一冊目よりも、くぐり刺しの技法が多く、大西さんのかがり方とは異なるので、まずかがり方も頭に入っていなければ、この製図の読み取りは少しやっかいかなあと思いました。綺麗な模様というか、「花水木」のような模様はトライしたいのですが、まだまだ先の話になりそうです。個人的な見解で申し訳ありませんが、完成した指貫の写真を見ると、一冊目からも感じていたのですが・・・綺麗に見えないものが多々あり、何が違うのだろうと今回じっくりと観察。指貫は土台の布を絹糸ですくうというかがり方なのですが、その天辺の布のすくい方が、まばらだったりするのが写真に写っているのが原因かなあと思いました・・・せっかく緻密なかがり方で、美しい模様を作っていくのだから、天辺のすくい方も丁寧にしてもらえればいいのになあと。
