    One of the BEST Cookbooks I've Found

Admittedly, I love cookbooks, but this is one of the best I have found in a long time.  Although covering fondue, the delectable meals described within this volume bring a new level of sophistication to previous books I have read.  Covering variations of classic cheese fondue, there is an enjoyable array of recipes from a party favorites, "Bavarian Beer Fondue" and "Norman Cheese and Apple Fondue" to a more up-scale, "Lobster Gruyere Fondue".  This book also delves wonderfully into oil fondues with a whole chapter on corresponding gourmet sauces.  One of my favorites, "Filet Mignon and Shrimp Fondue".  This latter dish may sound a bit spendy, but you can substitute other cuts of tender beef, if you wish.The pages are beautifully illustrated with exquisite photography, which leave you not only wanting to turn the pages, one after another, but looking forward to trying each new fondue dish.  Few cookbooks have this effect on me.  This one is definitely a keeper!

My husband wanted a fondue set for Christmas and I said we've never use it, but I thought if I got a good recipe book maybe we actually would.  Well, we do use it- a lot!  This book has great recipes of all kinds, not just for cheese or deserts.  It's been really fun to pick new ones out and try new ways of cooking food, and eating it.  Kids love it, too!
