The graphite shaft bends easily during a swing that does not follow a good tempo or that has an abrupt transition. It is the feel of this flex that indicates you need to modify your swing and that seems to be the primary way this swing trainer works. It provides instant feedback through the flex in the shaft. There are several training videos on their website that will guide you further on how to use the trainer. It also came with several tees and a small ball marker/poker chip. I thought the poker chip was supposed to be a striking aid because hitting a flat object is supposed to improve your ball striking. If that was the intent, they should’ve made it from better material because I tried that and it dented with every shot. Other than that, this is something you can use with practice balls in your backyard or bring to the driving range. At first, it really felt silly using this club but after some time with it, I started seeing improvement in my tempo/rhythm that led to better ball striking and helped me understand how to pace my swing without the need to hire a golf instructor. I’ll be honest, the price is a bit more than I’d expect but then again, everything golf-related is more expensive for some reason. It would definitely be worth it if it made me shoot like Rory McIlroy but I’d say I’m still pretty far from that level.
