I brought this power strip because Royal Caribbean was listed as cruise lines that approved this device. Mine was confiscated at the X-ray machine before getting to check in. The employee said they are not allowed even the ones that are non surge may get confiscated. My power strip was still in the original cruise on box from Amazon. Didn’t matter. I was told I could pick it up after the cruise from security but I didn’t. Please be sure to take your charging plugs with you because on Oasis there are no USB ports just 3 regular plug outlets. Luckily, I had brought another power cube that I bought from Amazon, that was also in my carry on but that one didn’t get confiscated. That cube had regular plug outlets and USB ports. **Q: what is the difference between this power strip or a normal power strip?** A: This is not a power strip or a power surge protector. It is a cruise ship approved plug in adapter and USB ports. **Q: Will this work on Oceania Cruises?** A: Absolutely - our cruise power strip (non surge) will work on Oceania Cruise Ships. Every cabin has a standard 110v that is fully compatible with this cruise accessory. **Q: If this isn't surge protected what does the "vpr (l-n):800v" that is printed on the back mean? vpr stands for voltage protection rating.** A: This language was accidentally printed on a very small set of our items (although the product was still, properly Non-surge protected). It was just the product details printed on the back that were incorrect. We estimate that this impacted less than 1% of our sold items.
