You want it to be able to spin so you can adjust the size of the vent. **Q: going to use on a drum smoker. will they bend a little to conform to curve of drum?** A: I boughtt the 6" and the top of my smoker has just enough contour to where the pinwheel wont seat flush so im going with the 4". The size of my smoker is just small enough to where the 4" should be suitable enough but if youve got a real man's smoker youll want to take a different approach bc the 6" inch doesnt have much give and will probably not open or close if you shape it too much. **Q: Does this come with matching screw and spring?** A: No, it comes exactly as you see. Also you may want to file down the edges before painting. Great product. Thick and durable. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Product, Great Value *by D***Z on July 7, 2026* Great price, easy to install, fits well on the pit I'm making. The company was spot on with shipping and their customer service is outstanding. Very easy to install, smooth slide action. My smoker grill is working way better now. I've ordered another for my other smoker grill. I now increase the size of the vent from the 6 inch to the 12 inch. Needed more air flow.
