While my overpriced, β€œdo it all” viewfinder tool said 1100’ of wiring was ok, this tool caught the true story! This tool was precise on distance, and even easily caught where my break was in an underground run of Cat5e, saving me at least 3hrs of needless wire pulling. It also showed a SPLIT PAIR error, on a separate wire, once again saving me even more time. This tool paid itself off on that one jobπŸ’―. This is a great tool to have in your arsenal, if network troubleshooting is what you do! Go get you one! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Could use auto shut off *by L***S on Reviewed in Canada on 2 November 2022* Works well overall, but the carry case is really flimsy and cheap. And the unit does not have a basic auto shut off feature. So if you leave it on by accident, or it gets accidentally turned on in your tool box, which happened to me twice already, it drains the battery to nothing. And it's rechargeable only, so can't put new batteries in and when on site and need it now, you have no way to get it going. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great inexpensive tester *by G***A on Reviewed in the United States on 20 July 2022* It is a little cumbersome to get used to the ports. I would be better if there was only one RJ45 servicing all the test modes. For the price, it's hard to beat.
