**Q: Does this work well in muddy waters?**
A: I'm a scuba instructor who uses this to find depth in local lakes for classes. We encounter zero visibility conditions quite often however I have not had an issue with the unit working. The only time the reading struggles is if the bottom is exceptionally soft.

**Q: Can it shoot through the hull? My sailboat is too high off the water to reach over the rail.**
A: The instructions say that it can shoot through the hull but the unit must be in a little water and in close contact with the hull to do it. Also, the hull must be solid fiberglass, no air pockets, or a maximum of 1/8" aluminum.

**Q: Does the unit only give surface water temperature?**
A: No, I enjoy fishing in my pontoon boat and use it to determine depth, so I know what line to use and how long till I’m at bottom. The unit comes with a good book of directions, l think it also shows any fish in area as well.

**Q: does vegetation throw off the depth accuracy?**
A: yes it can interfere

Found this online...DT1H:1. Turn the unit on by sliding the switch towards the battery compartment and releasing2. Slide the switch towards the battery compartment and hold for 5 seconds3. The current units of measure will blink, release the switch4. Pull and release the switch to change between the settings (FT/F, M/C)5. The unit will automatically exit the units of measure setting and return to the last mode (depth or temp) if the switch is not moved for 10 seconds

Buen producto, da la profundidad en pies y la temperatura en °F, no sabía cómo combiarlos a metros y °C, un día por tenerlo en mi mochila, pienso yo se cambió y a seguido así, muy útil y versátil, para estimar la temperatura dejar aprox. De 30 segundos a 1 minuto bajo del agua para que sea lo más cercano a la realidad.
