With a lemon, you get about 3/4 of the juice, with a lime you get about 1/2. I can squeeze more out of a lime after using it with my hand. It is durable but leaves a lot of juice in the fruit. This one is a little smaller, but it is actually easier to use, meaning it takes less force to extract as much or more juice. We had a smaller one for limes and a larger one for lemons, but I have used this one now for both and don't feel the need for a larger one than this. Works fine for both. The only thing I am wary about is that the joint seems to be a little loose. I am afraid with frequent use it might give out and break.
