I wear a 19.** A: Buff will conform to different neck sizes. They are large long enough to accommodate all neck sizes. **Q: Being wool, will this eventually stretch out/lose shape? Or will it hold its shape and elasticity for a long time as well as the synthetic original?** A: It has held it's shape, maybe stretched a little. But when I washed it, it went back to it's original size. Actually, I prefer it a little loose. It was a little tight in the beginning. **Q: Is the gray color a different size than other colors? It is the only one that says it fits kids ages 6-11.** A: That I do not know, but I got the black on and it fits well for a 5'-4" male. It stretches and it is soft and I have been using it when days and nights are cold outdoors. If I have to guess my neck size I would have to say I have a 2 and a half inch radius or a 5 inch diameter if that helps. Even when they get moist from your breath they feel warm against your skin. They feel light and are easy to breathe through. I have never had the need to wear a heavier weight version in our cold winters. Obviously, for snowmobiling you would likely need something thicker/heavier/more windproof but for skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, etc., this lightweight merino RULES!!!
