I am still debating the value in spending that much when there are several LED flashlights being sold today that at not too much more and have higher lumen output and utilize easily available rechargeable batteries. **Q: Can I purchase a spare/extra ballast? Great light, but my ballast went out....** A: The ballast is integrated with the removable battery. If the battery is available, then purchase it.
