    Really misleading.

I took this exam last year and did not get the required score for my program, so I picked up this book to help me study a bit.  While it certainly gives you a very good overview of the tasks and the grading rubriks, it is extraordinarily misleading regarding the difficulty of the exam.  I took all three practice exams in the book (which is actually all the book consists of), and I passed with flying colors.  Every section was ridiculously easy.  Nothing at all like the real test which is much, much harder!  The only real benefit of this was having a couple sample essays to compare my own attempts to.  But really, it's a waste of money and will just give you a false sense of confidence but will NOT help you be prepared for the exam.

Ich hatte immer gute Erfahrungen mit Büchern von Hueber, deswegen habe ich mich für dieses Buch entschieden. Während der Vorbereitung war ich überrascht, dass alle Aufgaben so einfach waren. Weil ich so schnell mit allem vom Buch fertig war, nahm ich ein anderes buch zur Hand ("Prüfungstraining Goethe-Zertifikat C1"). Da waren die Aufgaben deutlich schwieriger. Ohne das zweite Buch hätte ich bei der wirklichen Prüfung Schock gehabt.Das Fazit: Fit fürs Goethe-Zertifikat C1 vermittelt eine totall falsche Vorstellung von der Schwierigkeit der C1-Aufgaben. Wer die Prüfung gut bestehen möchte, soll ein anderes Buch benutzen. Allerdings sind 2 Teile vom Buch noch akzeptabel, und zwar Schreiben und Sprechen.
