I didn't do any prep to my brow area before applying this product except for wiping the area with water and drying it. The lines stayed crisp after drying and didn't blur out like some products tend to. There is no noticeable smell, you can't feel the product on your brows/skin after you apply it and it dries matte. The sealant that it comes with doesn't have any noticeable smell either and doesn't feel tacky or hard after it dries. Also, neither product leaves any gloss or shine on the skin once they dry.
