I have had various chairs bought on Amazon for half the price (or less) and none cut the mustard - gas strut breaking, poor lumbar support, etc. It's possible to spend Β£1000 or more on an office chair so I still wasn't sure whether Β£350 for this chair would deliver the quality needed.I needn't have worried. This is a truly excellent chair. My 16 stone weight is easily supported with no complaints from the gas strut, and the chair glides and turns very smoothly. The lumbar support is truly excellent, and the overall quality is very reassuring and robust. There are many adjustments possible, and there is a large range that the height can be adjusted to. Delivery was much quicker than indicated. And the chair looks very nice too!If I had to find something to criticise, I would say that the arm rests are a little lightweight and don't seem to match the quality of the rest of the chair (they can be adjusted to point outwards/inwards as well as adjusted up and down, which means if you pull the chair over by its arm, you can inadvertently change the rest adjustment).
