After selecting my chosen number I found it quite easy to turn the dial and open the locks. The numbers clicked into line easily and there didn't appear to be any movement which I found with the rolston locks. I purchased these for my suitcases and there is plenty of room to loop the padlock through the zipper and they appear quite secure.
