I have an automotive repair and it will get pretty hot. If not, is there an alternate?** A: The pot I repaired had been used several times for baking in an oven with 450 degree or higher temps. It has been used numerous times to boil water for canning (Can you guess it is my favorite pot) and is still going strong. I believe in the permatex liquid metal and would recommend it for any metal repair. **Q: I need to solder a jump ring on my medic-alert band, do you think this will work?** A: Works well as a filler. I don't think it will work as solder. **Q: When dried, is it smooth or rough?** A: Smooth. It doesn’t dry hard like metal but somewhat harder than a silicone product.
