For me there was no jbl, there was no sony. It was always between this and the marshall emberton 2s. And now that i own this and using it for some time, I can say that i am glad that I didn’t choose the marshall’s not that the marshall’s a bad choice, very possibly the next one that i buy( my god they look just so elegant and beautiful) , but the bose indeed blew my mind away. It just feels like how can something so small can produce such a full sound. What Danny spoke about the speaker is true, it has a very warm, bassy(kind of which is sweet to your ears and not give you a headache) sound to it. The kind of sound to which you can listen to days and not get tired. Still confused give the DannyPops video a look.Coming on to the battery it remains to be tested Since i am going to be primarily using this speaker as a home speaker.Cons:One of the cons in the sea of all pros would be the absence of any sort of equaliser control, but Bose has done a fabulous done in tuning it in a way which would suit most of the audience.Another major gripe would be the connectivity, since it comes with Bluetooth 4.2 the connectivity while walking from one room to another is hit or miss.
