## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this work in a metal desk i want to restore?**
A: I think it would work with the right primer and adhesive

**Q: Would this work on concrete mantel slab?**
A: No

**Q: Is it complicated sticking this to a wall? I am trying cover up some paint stains on my walnut wall panels.**
A: I have not tried this, but here are my thoughts baased on other products... the succes of using this is based on 1) how clean and smooth you can get the wall, and 2) your ability to hold the veneer tightly to the surface. (ie.with a clamp).

It seems like clamping tightly could be a challenge. Also remember that - while very thin - the veneer does have an "edge", and you can see the 10 mil paper backing that isn't wood. 

Advice - this is a beautiful veneer, so check to see if this company makes it in a stcky back version.

**Q: Is there any sanding sealer or is there any kind of coatings one the veneer? Or is it just exposed wood?**
A: It’s just wood. I used a veneer glue.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A woodworkers thoughts

My initial thoughts were, this stuff is too flimsy. After flattening as the instructions stated and gluing up my first shelf (I veneered some new cabinets I built out of MDF) I realized this stuff is pretty good. It's user friendly and really looks good. Even when gluing up the veneer with a seam, the seams flushed up nicely and you can't tell there are 2 peices of veneer. You can sand lightly, it sands nicely I was also pleased to see how well it took finishing oil. I was so pleased, I just purchased 3 more rolls of the 2ftx8ft paperback veneer. I used this on the shelves and I painted the cabinet carcasses dark charcoal gray, the shelves look like solid walnut, I'm impressed. The trick is using just the right amount of glue if you get the paperback. Not too much, not too little. Too much glue and it will ripple the veneer and ruin the finished product. This product gave me the look I had envisioned. Thanks
