I needed some Mace and there was none to be found in town. Not sure if anyone reading this wants the recipe but I'm here to tell you it is so much better than American pumpkin pie spice. I'll share the recipe with you. It's wonderful in all manner of baking or even to mix into cream for coffee. Homemade British Mixed Spice 1 tablespoon quality ground cinnamon 2 teaspoons ground allspice 2 teaspoons ground nutmeg 1 teaspoon ground cloves 1 teaspoon ground ginger 1 teaspoons ground coriander 3/4 teaspoon ground mace Combine all spices in an airtight glass jar and keep store in a dark cool place for up to several months.
