Review: This device works correctly and has some great features: 1. The yellow button covers look and feel great. 2. The micro SD card slot actually clicks when inserting an SD Card (for firmware update) 3. The cutout underneath to switch audio is a better idea than reaching inside to hit the switch I am happy with this device. I am using it on my 286, 386 and 486 computers and every game that I have run so far looks great on my 4K TV. You must be very careful with the LCD screen, and especially if you are inserting it into a plastic enclosure: I already destroyed one of these (from another vendor) because the LCD screen broke off and at that point the whole device stopped working.
Review: I own several MSX computers, including a Yamaha MSX2+ KUVT model. These machines have RGB ports, so I made several RGB to SCART cables following the proper specs. However, when I tried using basic SCART-to-HDMI converters from desertcart, nothing worked correctly. The image was unstable or didn’t show up at all. Then I tried this OSSC and it worked immediately, right out of the box! I was honestly amazed. I had started to think the problem was the MSX RGB port OR my soldering skills, since none of my cables worked with the other converters. It turns out the real issue was those cheap converter boxes. This OSSC SCART box works flawlessly and brings out a clean, sharp, and incredibly stable image from my MSX machines. I’m attaching photos of the first cable I made. In the photo, you can see the Japanese version of the Yamaha MSX. I will also update this review as I continue testing the box further. Five (5) stars! It simply works and works beautifully. Thank you!

I bought this device a few weeks ago because I wanted to play my old consoles like the Saturn and SNES on my new HD TV. I gotta say, my first impressions were pretty solid. It looks nice, feels sturdy, and set up was really straightforward; just plug and play, you know? I was honestly surprised at how well it translated the colors. I played Super Mario World with my kids, and they loved how vibrant the graphics looked compared to how I remember them! However, there’s a slight catch. Sometimes, the image can get a bit flickery, especially when you first turn it on or switch between resolutions. It doesn’t happen all the time, but it can be a tad annoying. The sound quality is decent, but I was hoping for a bit more clarity when playing music-heavy games. If you're super picky about sound, it might disappoint you. Overall, though, with minor tweaks, I’m really enjoying it and consider it a great addition to my retro gaming setup. Pros: • Easy to set up and use • Good video quality • Compatible with multiple old consoles Cons: • Occasional image flickering • Sound quality could be better Overall: I recommend this product. I rated it 4 stars because while it does have some minor issues, the overall quality and ease of use make it a worthwhile investment for any retro gaming lover.
