They look the same, but have different part #s. the "p" is ~$11 more.** A: The 80700p set includes the 120xp ratchet. 120xp is their newest 120 tooth ratchets. It has a much finer tooth count than the 80700d, Which is an 84 tooth ratchet. For the price difference of only $11 dollars the 80700p is very worth it! **Q: What country these tools are manufactured in?** A: Taiwan. Still a solid brand. Thanks right up there with craftsmans to me **Q: Is this set from China or Taiwan?** A: I can't say for sure. I have the ¼", the ⅜", and ½" GearWrench set and none of the pieces say where they were from. However, when I researched the product feedback on various blogs I recall that the tools were from Taiwan. I will say this for sure... the wrenches are excellent quality and much better than craftsman. I'm not a professional so I don't need Snap but if I wanted to get something better than GearWrench I would get Snap. Quality is very good, I wasn't really expecting to be this pleased with it. I bought this because I kept a crappy no name tool set in my truck and after getting frustrated replacing the alternator on said truck with junk tools, I decided I was gonna carry better tools in the truck from now on. I got this set for the truck and ended up keeping it on my bench at work and putting the Milwaukee set I had been using at work in my truck instead. The blow-molded case is not the best but its a pretty compact layout. The ratchet is fantastic and has made me purchase a few more GearWrench 120xp ratchets because of how much I like it. At this price I don't think you can get a better 3/8" set on the market. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The best I've ever owned *by on Reviewed in the United States April 2, 2015* First I will say I give this set a 10/10, now on to the review. The following details are not very important in my eyes but may be to some. The case mine came in is not really supported in the bottom so the tools sag a little and therefore all of the tools got jumbled up during shipping. I just put them all back in their respectful spots and went on. Maybe it'll be a little DIY fix-er-up to make the case a little more sturdy. The ratchet itself is very nice. The alternating 60 tooth dual-stacked pawls allow very small adjustments to be made making it an incredibly valuable tool when you are up to your shoulder in an engine without any wiggle room. Being used to a quick-release ratchet, it is weird having sockets occasionally pull off. I've only had this problem with my spark plug socket so far but, I imagine if you bound up one of the sockets on a nut you may experience the same thing. It is not a big deal for me to have to pull it off by hand considering I am not a professional mechanic where the extra five seconds makes a difference. The sockets don't feel like they are the most solid sockets ever made (e.g Snap-on) but they are more than sufficient for my needs. I kind of wish the sockets had put the knurling, which is nice when you have greasy hands, on both the standard and the metric sockets instead of using the knurling as an indicator between the two. Overall, I am very impressed. I bought it for a great price and It is the nicest set I have worked with.
