I recently purchased this and was so impressed by it when I used it to make candy. I made several kinds and used a thermometer to get to 300 degrees F. The side spout made it easy to pour into the baking sheet and the handle did not get hot! I don't remember reading that in the description so I was so happy I didn't have to use a pot holder to grab hold of the handle. It washed up so easy, too! I bought several items of this brand, a skillet with lid and 3 assorted size pots with lids.
