The crucial issue is that despite following the instructions to the letter and using 2 fingers to provide the blood I was nowhere near providing enough blood to complete the required sample (see attached photo). The amount of blood required is simply not suitable for a home test - the amount required really needs to be taken from a healthcare professional. The process of getting blood from finger to sample tube is extremely difficult.
