**Q: Does anyone know how to get instructions for this, it was bought as a gift and the instructions are lost**
A: Thank you for your interest in our Cuisine Magic vented corn steamer and your question.  To use your new corn steamer is simple and easy.  The time it takes to cook the corn depends on the power of the microwave, whether the cobs are fresh or frozen, the size of the cob and the kernels and how much the users likes their corn cooked.  The directions are below:
1)  Take corn steamer out of the box and wash with soap and water or in dishwasher.
2)  Before placing in the microwave, place 1-2 pieces of fresh or frozen uncooked corn cobs into the corn steamer and secure lid leaving the steam vent open.
3)  Turn on microwave form 4-10 minutes depending on the power of the microwave.  On average cooking should be for:
  - 3 to 5 minutes for a medium size piece of corn.
  - 5 - 7 minutes for 2 medium size pieces of corn.
4)  After cooking wash the corn steamer in warm, soapy water or in the dishwasher.

You will have to adjust your cooking time based on initial trials and how much you like your corn cooked.
