Sleeve inner diameter is designed larger than the cable to allow proper deformation during crimping.Best performance is achieved with 1/16" (≈1.6mm) wire rope.Feature with double holes. Sleeve cable connectors make it easy to secure loops when anchoring cable, and they can be compressed by vise or pliers.Sleeves, when properly applied with appropriate crimping tools, are capable of providing a secure connection for general-purpose applications.To determine suitability for specific uses, we recommend pull testing prior to use. **Q: what gauge?**
A: 1/16" is equal to 16 gauge.

**Q: Is this product anodized?**
A: It's aluminum. So I wouldn't say it's anodized.

**Q: Would this work on 1/16" stainless cable?  Any difference to the breaking strength instead of stainless ferrules?**
A: Yes, work for 1/16" stainless cable

**Q: I am a rookie at this.  Do I need a special tool to crimp with or can muscle/pliers work?**
A: I’m sure that a “plier” type device can be made to work, but I would suggest that you get the proper tool to assure yourself that it’s a safe install .
I first bought a fairly large crimping tool from Princess Auto  for $39- but yesterday I returned it to buy a smaller but more efficient one from Home Depot for $61.  I had about 100 crimps to do and I wanted to make sure they were secure .
