I've only used this twice so far, and even though it's on the table next to where I sit, I can't smell the Bergamot fragrance that came with the burner at all. Whether a different stronger fragrance will work, who knows. Btw. Although it was supposedly left 'near my front door or porch' it was actually left outside a door nowhere near my flat, and being disabled I had to wait till gone midnight till my next door neighbour came home, to get it for me.
