**Q: Our current electric fire is wired directly into a wall socket. Can this be used to connect a new fire by cutting the two wires and joining them?**
A: Not advisable

**Q: Can these be used for unaccessible places?**
A: Used to joint cables in an inaccessible loft space, recommended by a qualified electrician. Made connections and tested the circuit, then placed through a hole made in a plasterboard ceiling which was used to locate the cable ends when relocating some light fittings. Once the circuit had been tested push the box above the ceiling and made good the plasterboard ceiling. Much easier than trying to route new feed and switch cables to suit change of position.  Has worked fine with no issues.

**Q: Can this be used on wiring for extra plug sockets**
A: Yes they can be used on ringmain socket circuits to extend cables        Terminals take 4mm max cables
