It won't power up at all with the power cord plugged in. It does however power up when connected to the computer but the picture doesn't show up on the screen and the selector won't rotate through the channels. Also, the remote control doesn't work either. I put my old HDMI switch back on and it works just fine so without question this Novanco HDMI Switch is the problem. The only reason that I made this purchase was because I wanted a switch with an independent power source. In summary, this doesn't work and I won't waste my time or energy requesting a return/refund as this negative review they have more than earned for selling and sending me this defective product will more than suffice. It doesn't even fit inside the box all the way so it's susceptible to falling out and/or breaking. The remote is very cheap and flimsy feeling. It will switch between the inputs but I've had instances where it did not work. Mine is also constantly changing from one input to another on it's own and then going back to the previous one for a few moments.
