## Description

This Kerick SR06 stainless steel rod is 1/4" in diameter and 6" long. It is made of 18-8 stainless steel for resistance to corrosion and has 1/4"-20 male threads on each end. It is intended for use with 3/8" and 1/2" inlet float valves and 4 x 5" or 2 x 2 x 4" float balls (sold separately). As part of a float valve installation, it is suitable for use in a variety of applications, such as fountains, livestock water tanks, and chemical manufacturing plants.Float valves use a rod and float ball attached to a valve shutoff lever to control flow in or out of a tank. The float ball rises or falls with the level of liquid in the tank, changing the angle of the valve shutoff lever. When the angle of the valve lever changes sufficiently, the valve opens or closes. Float valves are rated according to the volume of liquid that can flow through them at a particular pressure to ensure the tank can be refilled as quickly as it is emptied. The material that a float valve is constructed from must be suitable for the liquid in which it operates, which may be corrosive or at an extreme temperature. Review: Very difficult to find anywhere - I had to search a lot to find these shorter, 6" float valve arms. Most standard arms are 8" long and won't fit a smaller toilet (For example: The one's that come in kits at the local home store or here on desertcart.). If you have a smaller toilet tank, this is the right part for the job. They were fairly inexpensive so I bought one for all 4 toilets in the house, in case the other 3 rust through their old rod's too. For some reason the standard/original float arms on our toilets have all rusted. I expect good results with this one because it is stainless steel. The best (and only) option for smaller toilet tanks!

**Q: I'm looking to extend the length of my sump pump float rod, so that I can have it trigger in shallower water. Will this work?**
A: This is simply a 6" stainless steel rod with 1/4 20 threads on each end. So if your sump pump float has a 1/4 20 thread it should work.

**Q: Is this threaded on both ends? I intend to use it for an extender for my camera mount with a 1/4" mount hole.**
A: It has been a long time since I ordered this.   I am pretty sure that it is threaded on both ends.  As I recall I had to screw it into both the valve and the float for my horse water.  Hopefully someone else will able to verify that it is indeed threaded on both ends.  Sorry I couldn't be 100% sure.

I had to search a lot to find these shorter, 6" float valve arms. If you have a smaller toilet tank, this is the right part for the job. They were fairly inexpensive so I bought one for all 4 toilets in the house, in case the other 3 rust through their old rod's too.
