Review: UPDATED 3/6/2022: READ ME! Not as bad as people say! people just love to complain. - READ THIS IF YOU'RE CONSIDERING BUYING THIS GUITAR!!! I bought this used - very good for 45 bucks about a year ago. I probably would not pay full price, as much as I love it. That being said, IT IS NOT JUNK GIVE IT TIME! I swear half the people leaving negative reviews have no idea how guitars work. I am a full grown adult guitar player, and I've been playing since high school. I'm in college now, and I needed something small and light to travel with. I DON'T USE THIS AS MY EVERYDAY GUITAR! I reach for this guy if I'm messing around with chords, my fingers hurt from my metal strings, or I'm just trying to relax. It's great to practice on, but not so much if you're trying to actually play in front of people. Nylons aren't meant to be used like metal stringed acoustics, they're a separate instrument! It still works for that purpose, though, you can play the same exact songs and chords. If you tune it properly it gets the job done. Great for my college dorm or throwing in the car for a camping trip cus it's super light. Great to practice on when I don't feel like lugging my full sized acoustic around. This is a decent product for the price I PAID. Being a nylon string guitar, you have to stretch the strings and tune it quite a bit (2-4 days is recommended for the strings to settle - watch a youtube tutorial on how to do it) Furthermore, the plastic strings that everyone complains about are standard on a nylon. Heck, the C40 from Yamaha, well established nylon, has the same type (but higher quality, I bet) if I recall. They do go out of tune pretty frequently, especially at the start, but it's not even that much - just retune them! The tuner works well for me, but if you don't like it, just get an app like GuitarTuna. Now, for the guitar itself, it's what I expected when I bought it for 45 bucks, barely even damaged since I got a higher quality used (or less damaged I guess) version, and I have to say, it has really grown on me. Guitars are instruments, not toys. You can't give it to a kid and expect them to learn the ins and outs. If you really want them to learn guitar, buy them a cheap acoustic like a rogue or Yamaha, a C40 is a great nylon but you could also get them a metal string, and get them lessons! Find a music store near you, it might be a bit pricey but it's the best way to learn. Originally I recommended swapping the strings, but it's not worth it to be honest. I got it back in 2021 for 45 USD used, and I love it for what I use it for. If you're dead-set on a cheap starter guitar, or you want an affordable spare, grab this but follow my advice. If you really want to learn, shell out the extra money and buy a tried and true brand. For the full price, 80 bucks is not worth it. Get a rogue for that money. Anyway, that's my rant, hope this helps! (I even bumped my review up from 4 to 5 stars - when I first wrote it, it was 1 star because I didn't understand stretching the nylon strings - IT TAKES TIME! but I genuinely love this thing!) Enjoy!
Review: Great Guitar For The Price - Here's What You Need To Know - I've wanted a guitar for pretty much my entire life. I've always been unable to get one because of either lack of money, or not being able to find a good one. When I found this guitar, after a LONG time of looking everywhere on the internet, I knew that I had to buy it. The reviews were good, sure maybe some were iffy, but overall it looked great. It just arrived today, and I'm genuinely SHOCKED at how good it looks. It's polished, has three steel strings and three nylon strings (which I'll talk about later), comes with a digital clip-on tuner, guitar pick, replacement strings and a guitar strap. I'm 5'-5'1 and this guitar is the PERFECT size for me. It's not too small, and not too big (although a little bigger than I expected but that's a good thing because I wasn't sure if it'd be too small for me or not). There are a few cons to this guitar, mainly the fact that the guitar strap doesn't really attach. It has a knob at the bottom of the guitar that you can attach it to but then the instructions direct you to just tie it around the headstock, and that's not really how you're supposed to attach a guitar strap (I mean, I'm pretty sure anyway). I personally don't really need the strap anyways, but if that's a major thing for you that might be a bit of a problem. Other than that, it does look a tiny bit...dinged up? I'm not sure if that's the word for it, but if you look really closely at all the details around the fretboard, it looks a bit scratched up. It doesn't affect the overall beauty of the instrument nor the sound of it, so that's not really a big deal for me but I thought I'd include it in my review for honesty's sake. The problem I do have with this guitar though, is that the nylon strings are VERY loose. I'm not sure if that's just a mistake on my part or what, because frankly this is my first guitar and I'm really not sure if I tuned it correctly (probably not), but I have been told the strings should be okay how they are? Apparently nylon strings are supposed to be looser. Other than that, this is a great instrument and I would 100% recommend buying this if you're looking for a budget guitar. It's not super pricey, it sounds great, and looks beautiful. (I named my guitar Anastasia by the way, she's gorgeous, see the attached picture!)

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this big enough for an adult or is it more for youth?**
A: Hi! This guitar is suitable for both youth and smaller adults to play comfortably. Although if you are a taller adult, you might find a 36" guitar small and uncomfortable to play for extended periods. It's also important to consider other factors such as the player's hand size, arm length, and playing style when choosing a guitar size.

If you are looking for a bigger size acoustic guitar set, we recommend getting our Full-Size Acoustic Guitar Kit model PGACLS90. For more information on this model, you can check here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09BZVCVVS?th=1. Hope this helps!

**Q: Would this be a good starter guitar for a soon to be 7 year old girl?**
A: Yes. I believe so. I recently purchased it for my 9 year old son but unfortunately I’m needing to return it because it was a tad too small. My son is tall and lanky though so he’s more like a 10-11 year old size. I think 7 would be perfect! The guitar itself seems to be nice quality for the price.

**Q: This guitar has Prop65 warning on the package. Why? For what component?**
A: Kindly send us a message at support@pyleusa.com so we can help you out with your question and more details.

**Q: Where do you attach the strap? There’s no place at the top.**
A: Hi, it doesn't have a guitar strap locks. You may purchase it using this website. Please check the link below. Thank you.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The sound is pretty good.
*by J***Y on October 14, 2026*

For the price point this was a great starter set. For an entry level guitar the sound is good. I would highly recommend ordering a better set of strings. The zipper broke when opening the bag. A great way to start playing or great for camping. Overall happy with this purchase.
