These valves look and work great! I used exposed new copper pipes with this radiator (see pic):http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00E1E30E4?ref_=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_0To install you need a 1/2" allen key to screw the barrel into the radiator (whilst using PTFE tape or other suitable sealant) and then spanners to tighten the nuts.Obviously they are not thermostatic valves so once your filled, bled and running you need to balance/set up the flows through the rad. I'm no plumber but managed to get them set so that rad felt the right temp for the area (hall/stairs/landing) and wasn't using too much water to effect the other rads that come off the same pipe work.Very please with the way this rad looks and works!
