The shape of the bowl isn't ideal to be used with an electric stand up mixer. I did my own test with my electric hand mixer and it didn't perform as well as it would've with a wide round bottom mixing bowl. **Q: Can it handle hot items like soup?** A: Are you placing hot soup directly into the container if so no you can store the soup in this container it not made like the original material it would have stood up to the soup! **Q: Tupperware still have a lifetime warranty?** A: I believe they do you would have to contact a consultant to find out for sure **Q: Anyone else have problems with staining (from red and blue fruits) in the blue bowl?
