Spike made of solid turned metal are perfect to decouple speakers with M8 thread. Due to the fine processing, these spikes offer the maximum support for speakers of big weight and dimensions thus promoting at the same time the coupling with the supplied spikes pad, also solid turned. A self-adhesive EVA felt to be placed at the base of the spikes pads in order to protect the piece of furniture or the bearing floor completes the kit. The heavy weight and the robust design make them ideal for loudspeakers or for high-end electronic appliances. Due to the ingenious construction it is possible to use them in two ways, with M8 female thread or male thread always M8. I was using them on a home made base for an un-sprung Rega RP6 turntable. The main downside was that there was quite a lot of play between the threaded rod and the cone and also between the threaded rod and the insert. To make the set up stable I used some gap sealant/adhesive on both ends of the threaded rod, which gave me 10-15 min to make the adjustments before it started to set. After a few hours drying, the set up was stable.
