They are also hollow. So if you think you can trim these on the frames with a saw to fit your space think again. Make sure your measurements are exact or maybe a little smaller. Fill gaps with caulk or spacers if necessary. Having said that, they feel like plastic but they are assembled well and they are sturdy. I put them in a bathroom near the shower so I actually wanted something that would not rot or warp. So for me they work great. I just wouldn't have been so pleased to put them in my living room. There was a problem with my order that was addressed very quickly by the seller and a replacement was received a couple of weeks later. It had to clear customs which surprised me because I thought they were US made. I guess not. Not sure where they are made. Regardless, the error was caused by the manufacturer so the replacement was no charge. Just disappointed with having to wait for the installation and completion. Communication from the seller was very good.
