A: No,  ur it does include adapters to be used with an action base.

**Q: Do you recommend this model for beginners?**
A: No, It's A Little Hard For Beginners, Buster Fundamental Was Pretty Easy, Recommend To Start With The Buster

**Q: My 8 year old son loves legos, and he's pretty good at building.  would this be a nice next step for a kid builder?  if not, any suggestions?**
A: Hi, this is a MG 1/100 scale (Master Grade) we would recommend 15y or above, for younger age you could try EG (Entry grade) These are mainly snap off and don't require nippers to cut them off the runners. No Glue is required and all fit together easily. 
For slight more challenge could try HG 1/144 scale (High Grade), these are more advanced and would require nippers or clippers to detach the parts from runners. 
All the models come with pictured instructions that are easy to follow, please note not all instructions will be in English but they should be easy to follow,

**Q: Do you recommend this model for beginners?**
A: I would recommend either Duel, Buster, or Strike in the GAT series models for beginners.
