The insulation feels decent, not ultra premium but good for moderate handling. Using them was convenient: since they’re prewired, I didn’t have to solder anything — just strip, insert, and lock. The connectors make modular installations much faster and cleaner, especially when I need to section off LED runs or make custom lengths. For performance, I haven’t noticed any voltage drop or flickering in my LEDs (over several meters of strip), so electrical continuity is solid. **Q: What is the gauge of the wire on these connectors?**
A: Hi, Cable Wire Type: 22 AWG, Length: 100mm/ 3.94' , Wire Diameter: 2.2mm/0.09'

**Q: Are the connections waterproof?**
A: Don’t think they’re fully waterproof, unless permanently sealed together.
Should be OK, if they get slightly wet. I use them for power connections 
between G Scale locomotives, run outdoors in any weather! Have never 
had issues with water, or snow.

**Q: Can they be used for speaker connection about 160 watts?**
A: It seems to small to handle that power

**Q: Are either male or female connectors removable from their wiring? Do you need a special tool to insert the wiring into connectors ( male or female?**
A: Each wire has a metal "blade" crimped to the end which is then just held in the plastic connector by a small "barb." You can remove the wire and the metal blade by inserting a paperclip or safety pin to depress the barn and release it from the connector. This is useful, for example, to swap the red/black depending on what you are connecting to.

If you wanted to swap out the wire itself, it looks like you would need additional tools/parts to crimp a new blade before putting the connector back on.

Great set of connector leads for standard pixel lights. Fit perfectly and seem be of the same gauge wire as the LED wires themselves. Easy click to install. Easy solder connections to your power supplies and signal outputs. Great number of plugs for the money. No issues so far.
