I purchased and installed another set into my wife's Porsche, replacing the failed lift supports in her vehicle. The hood lift supports on my 2016 Porsche Cayenne GTS failed, and these replacements proved to be an excellent alternative. They installed easily in just a few minutes and perform comparably to OEM parts at a fraction of the cost. To remove the old supports, use a small flat-blade screwdriver to slide under the notch at the spring clip on both the top and bottom where the support connects to the hood and fender, then pull them off. The new supports snap into place effortlessly. Note that the replacements do not appear to be pre-greased, so applying a small amount of silicone grease to each contact point before installation is recommended. Also, be mindful of the orientation of the old supports when removing them to ensure proper alignment during installation. Overall, these replacement hood lift supports function just as well as the original parts and are a great value. Review: Good! - Worked perfectly.
